Batch processing: Saving not as expected

Hi - I've been working with the Batch Processing > General tab options and finding that the Saves are not happening as I would wish. Can you please differentiate between the Overwrite and Skip options in the context of the Delete original and Keep original date/time attribute check boxes. When I checked Delete original, I said Yes to send to Recycle bin but yet the original file stayed in the folder with a backup suffix. I'm aiming to merely rotate images and then keep only them with the original date/time attributes - slightly confused here. (Great package in all other respects!)

I originally started with Overwrite = Replace c/w ticked 'Delete original' and 'Keep original date/time attributes'. I hope this suppl info will help.

I then hit the go button. What else to do? (I did indicate in my original post what I hoped to achieve . . isn't there a flow chart @ xnview that displays results of alternative box-ticking?) Best.

Hi Pierre - Seems like my question has many aspects to it so I think I'll best get the solution by experimenting. Best
