Cursor keys not working for fwd/bk scrolling

I have installed XnView on my ACUS notebook running Windows 8. When I go to Full Screen view and try to use the LH & RH cursor keys it doesn't scroll forward or backwards through the images in the current folder. I have ticked the box for scrolling on the options->full screen. The cursor keys are being 'seen' as if I do things like [Ctrl] cursor it does an operation etc... The application is great and will enable my wife and I to look through our photographs but it would be good if we could scroll forward in full screen view.

Thanks for posing your question and welcome as a new XnView user, moriarty.
By default, cursor keys are used for scrolling, for example. For navigating from one image to the next, please use Page Up/Down.
You can customize the keyboard behaviour:
Please select "Tools > Options", category "General > Keyboard/Mouse" and change the setting "Cursor Left/Right" to "Previous/Next File".

Thanks PgUp and PgDwn work for moving through a set of photographs. On many other packages they use the LH and RH cursor keys.

You're welcome. As written above you can customize the behaviour of the cursor keys with just a few clicks.
