Ctrl+/ resize pictures with use of dpi? Why?

Hi. I am new to XnViewMP. And I just have learned that hotkey Ctrl+/ (Real size mode) turns picture size according to dpi. As I understand it treats dpi as ppi to show picture in printed size. Am I right?
I think this is a little bit useless. First because I think people most often use your viewer for watching photos on pc. Second - in situation when they want to print something rarely they will be trying to measure or compare size on the screen with some real objects. Attaching them to screen? I don't think so. It is better to compare sizes in absolute units (centimeters). But anyway I always can change dpi to any value without loss of digital data to change the printed size.
Ofcourse this functionality could be useful for someone. But I think users more often looking for ability to fast switch (hotkeys) to 100% size view. I thought that this is the default must be functionality for such type programs. Equal hotkeys are in the Corel, Adobe, other viewrs. Also there is in the browsers. If you have zoomed(in/out) web-page you can fast switch to normal 100% by pressing Ctrl+0. I don't know how better make Ctrl+0 to 100% and Ctrl+1 to fit size. Or maybe Ctrl+0 to switch from chosen default view to 100% and back. But it should be there.
Thank you.
