[Solved] "Only one window view opened" Doesn't work in 2.12
Posted: Sat Nov 30, 2013 4:51 am
Using version 2.12 even with the following settings checked if an image is open and another is opened the original window will not refresh to the newly opened image but instead two windows will be opened:
Only one window view opened
No multiple view for same file
Only one view for multiple files (startup & drag-drop)
Let's say you're in Pictures. You open Picture A, it is opened in XnView. You then look in Pictures again and decide to open Picture B so you open it. Rather than replacing Picture A as it should it instead creates a new XnView instance so now you have two.
I didn't see this problem on 2.03. But, I was on Vista Ultimate x64 then. Right now I'm on Windows 8.1 64-bit, so it's possible it could be either something that got messed up in the latest version or just that for some reason the setting does not work in Windows 8.1 and needs some kind of compatibility fix added for it.
