Sometimes when I'm trying to remove a system folder from the folder panel Xnview crashes. I did not find a specific reason for that behaviuor.

OS: Linux, Kubuntu saucy 64 bits.

Yes I agree, I was preparing a message in this sense
Deleting a subfolder (empty or not), by right-click in explorer mode in the left tree panel, causes very often a crash Xnview MP. I found that this happened mainly when, just before, I had selected this folder (opened) by left-click to view its content. When deleted directly, no crash noticed.

On this occasion I make a suggestion (, I don't know if it's feasible, I haven't seen elsewhere).
As Xnview can display only some elements of the folder (optional filtering), you can accidentally delete a folder containing files .
It would be safer, that the confirmation of deletion alert specifically on the existence of N files / elements present in the directory that you want to delete.
Example: "Do you want to delete this folder and the "38" files ?" or "Warning: this file contains 38 files, want to delete it anyway?". The current message will remain valid for empty folders.

Pierre,
At the moment this crash doesn't appear.
Sorry !
I don't understand what could have changed.
I hope it won't awake, so we can forget it!
Best regards
Gérard
