darken region outside crop area

Hello!!!
Please realize ability to set region outside crop selection to the darker tone (like in samples below) while cropping. In process of cropping: If outer region will be darken - it will be easy to preview result of cropping. Also will be perfectly if I can set custom degree of darkening this outer area. It's very, very necessary feature!!! Now, when I see only crop rectangle, it's hard to imagine how will be looking the result of cropping. Also will be VERY helpful to make able set the color of crop selection rectangle.
