Image size when converting from DNG to PNG

It's part of my new workflow that I've to convert DNG files to PNG files. I'm running into this problem where the resulting PNG files always seemed to have a size of 256x256. Poking around XnConvert under Load Format Settings / RAW it seems these values are user-defined rather than the software automatically deducing from the source file.
My source DNGs come in different sizes all the time so I'm wondering have I missed something?
