Sort and view by date, i cant do this

hi,
i have a problem, i searched but cant find nothing
my photos has different names and im sorting by date on folder and i can see earliest to latest
when i view with xnview, i click next but it show next named photo not sorted by date photo as my folder shows
with windows photo viewer it shows how i sorted folder
which setting enables next or previous photo by date not by name or label
hope i can describe my problem
