Thumbnail frame improvement (?)

Hello,

I expected an improvement regarding the thumbnails…

Currently, the option “Use Shadow” has a nice visual effect, but in the case of sorting the pictures I think that the shadow disturbs one’s attention and perception …

… and on the selected thumbnail, the frame is ON the picture (Not around the picture !)

If one doesn’t use the shadow option, my only little disappointment is regarding the selected thumbnail : The frame seems too big and wide :

I suggest an improvement on the thumbnails presentation without shadow (that already exists) but applied to the selected thumbnail

 Is it possible to have a selected frame almost as the one with shadow but without the Shadow and without covering the thumbnail, even partially ?

I think of something like this :

 A thin white line (1 pixel ) around the picture would also be appreciated ! ;-)

What do you think about all this ?

I like the shadow and I think it looks neater that the frame is over the picture rather than around it. To me this isn't obtrusive

Precisions :

I don't suggest to Remove the shadow option !

I Suggest to ADD another option to the frame type... that's all ! ;-)

Now, if you use XnView a long time for sorting/editing pictures, I think you will not use the shadow option and I am very glad that Pierre left us the choice ! :D

Thanks,

Me too, be cool! I will say that I think that the frame over the picture looks neater than one around the picture. Here again the best solution is to leave us the option.

Thanks
