Already implemented:

Two options for Space key:

(o) Start/Stop Quick Slide Show
( ) Switch to the Next file

...and two options in the context menu (with the hotkeys):

[x] Toggle Random Viewing - R *
[x] Toggle Transition Effects - T *

Edit: * - Affects: [dropdown menu]
- Space
- Page Up/Down
- Left/Right
- Mouse wheel
- All

"Random Viewing" option would affects PageDown, mouse wheel down (and Space).
"Transition Effects" option would affects Quick Slide Show - Pause (and Space).

And maybe - both options, "Random Viewing" and "Transition Effects" would start Random Quick Slide Show with Transition Effects - Pause (and Space).

Transition Effects option could be for Quick Slide Show only or also for standard switching between images.

yes, full support for that request!

I also miss the Space key for the next file. Is it possible to have option to use old key mappings ? I'm bit lost with new ones

I absolutly agree with Janne: I'm so extremly used to use the space key for moving forward by every other picture viewer, that I'm now thinking about changing back to Irfan View or ACDSee - even if XnView is now (all in all) the best Viewer on market. I really hope the next versions of XnView will assign space key to moving forward (what is quite logical - using the biggest key on keyboard for the mostly used fuction) OR allow free key assignment.

I think it's clear, easy to use and maybe also easy to implement solution.

Really? So in the context menu of a folder (tree view), right?

No, in the context menu of Viewer/Fullscreen.

When "Random Viewing" option would be enabled, you could go to random image with PageDown, mouse wheel down (and Space).

When "Transition Effects" option would be enabled, Quick Slide Show - Pause (and Space) would be started with transition effects.

And (maybe), when both options would be enabled, it would start Random Quick Slide Show with Transition Effects - Pause (and Space).

Hope you understand now, user could enable/disable these options very easy also in fullscreen with the context menu or with hotkeys (R / T)

User configurable hotkeys for everything. Oh my God, that would be cool

In Keyboard shortcuts for View options, I would greatly appreciate if you could add:

Space bar: Random image

Thats all I would need to use XnView full time.

OK, so maybe some addition to my request - for both options...

Just a little space and very useful IMO.

I really miss something like an "instant random image" in XnView. Like Ctrl-M in IrfanView.
