PDF image with higher resolution

I've received a form sheet as PDF. I want to fill it out using computer, but it's a PDF without entry fields. So my idea was to use XnView, display the PDF as image, convert it to a graphic file and fill out the graphic file using a graphic program or Word (graphic as background).
Viewing the PDF in XnView worked very well using GhostScript, but the resolution is not high enough. The whole PDF is DINA4 (about 29.7 x 21 cm), but the image created by XnView has 841 x 595 pixels, only. This is a resolution of 72 dpi, for printing this is a bit coarse.
Is there a way to set the resolution used by XnView / GhostScript for converting PDF files to image files?
