XnView multiple browser tabs?

I found the option to restrict XnView to a single instance, but I can't figure out how to get more than 1 browser tab so I can browse several different image collections. Is this feature missing from XnView, or is it there somewhere?

There is a
Tabs (Ctrl+Shift+M) entry in the
view menu, and if you can save modified options at all XnView will also start with your last
Tabs setting. Sadly this doesn't work for
Display colour info at the bottom of the
View menu.

A multiple browser tabs feature has been requested previously but never implemented.
