Newbie: way to change which labels shown in Thumbnails+Label

I'm new to the excellent XnView. I love the idea of the Thumbnails+Labels view but wonder if the data shown can be changed. Most importantly I would like not to see the file creation date, as this is misleading in Windows. (It's the date a file was created on a specific disk, so file creation data can be years after the Modified date, which is generally the date a photo was taken.) Can the labels be modified?

Also, I've looked at the expensive ACDSee. While I prefer XnView in most ways, ACDSee allows one to select only the ITPC and EXIF fields one wants to display (i.e., don't display shutter speed, etc.), so one can make the list shorter and more usable. Is this possible with XnView?

Thank you.

Thanks so much--exactly what I needed . Sorry I missed that option. XnView can do so much! It is a fabulous program and I will donate and recommend it to others.

My settings for Labels do not seem to persist or apply to all images. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Are you using XnView Classic (for example v2.24) or XnViewMP (for example v0.69) ?

If you're using 'MP you may need to run with Admin rights in order to write to the locations required...

Using MP. If you mean administrative rights on the computer I have them. Or do you mean something in the program? I installed as portable so that may be the problem. Now that I know I want XnView I will do a regular install. Thanks.
