Adjust settings for "Convert into jpg"

Today I made a screenshot (using Screenshot Captor) which made me a png file, but the BB forum (like this one) wouldn't accept it for some reason, complaining that it expected a jpeg file. So I used MP to convert it to a jpeg (via the context men in the thumbnail browser) and the result was less than desireable.

How can I adjust the automatic conversion settings to get a better jpg?

Are you aware of the well-hidden
File > Format settings... dialog in the Viewer (only) ?
If that doesn't provide a solution perhaps you could upload an example PNG?

Thank you! It was well hidden. I didn't think to look in the viewer's File Menu. I looked in the Edit and Image and Tools menu, though. I was working through the thumbnail viewer, and looked everywhere for the setting.
May I suggest this options panel be added to the main options panel? It could be intuitively found there in old XnView.
