Whenever I open a file via Explorer, I see XnViewMP drift to the top of Task Manager, and then it quickly disappears. The windows focus (Explorer) also changes. Nothing opens.
Windows 8 Pro 32-bit
XnViewMP 0.69

No. The Explorer windows looses focus for a second and regains it. That is all I see. There is nothing opened or shown.

It would seem that it has fixed itself. I use the browser function too and edited a setting for it. I open that through the Start Menu. Maybe the settings file was partially corrupt. If this happens again, then there might actually be a problem.
Thank you for your attentiveness to the problem.

I originally posted this in the wrong forum, but I can duplicate this issue and the specific circumstances:
Any time that I have a file open in fullscreen mode (my default setting) and try and open another via Explorer, XnViewMP crashes silently.
Example:
1. Through Windows Explorer, I open example.jpg.
2. XnViewMP is the associated application, so it opens and example.jpg is displayed in fullscreen.
3. Through Windows Explorer, I open another.jpg, with XnViewMP still in fullscreen.
4. XnViewMP immediately, silently crashes.
I am using version 0.69.
