Hi,
I'm just trying out XnView for the first time. I've searched the forum here and the wiki pages but cannot seem to find an answer to this, so I hope the question makes sense.
I have an archive of photos stored on a NAS. I want to be able to search those photos by, for instance, IPTC keyword. I've used the search option on narrow criteria (within one small folder of 20 files) and it works perfectly.
However the search method seems to look at each file anew, each time and is therefore very slow indeed when looking through larger numbers of files.
Is there some way to generate, maintain and store - ideally on the NAS rather than locally - a search index so that I can enter a keyword and generate a speedy results list, from a large database of photos?
