I am trying to convert an arw image with a corresponding xmp white balance change to a tif. Using XnConvert it worked perfectly the first time, just selected TIFF as the output.
I have tried many different combinations of nconvert.exe command line arguments, from autobalance, setting gamma and raw_*scale settings and the white balance is still not being corrected.

It seems like this should be all that is needed
nconvert.exe -out tiff -c 2 source.arw

I have also tried using the Adobe DNG Converter to combine the arw and xmp but the results are the same.

The Export for NConvert option doesnt generate any useful .bat file options.

Any ideas what option I need to get nconvert to process this correctly?

As an aside the file sizes are also drastically different using these two tools. XnConvert creates much smaller files, using compression or not. I feel there are some larger differences at work that I am not accounting for.

*Edit: Its almost like nconvert isnt reading any of the exif white balance information but XnConvert is.

XnConvert doesn't use EXIF white balance, could you send me the original file and the 2 output files, please?

XnConvert (default parameters) extract the embedded jpeg from RAW file
NConvert convert the RAW data

i'll add an option to extract the embedded jpeg in NConvert
