I knew for quite a long time that after cropping a jpg and save as a new file, properties of the new file could not be changed, for example, ratings, comments ... popup shows:-

"An unexpected error is keeping you from applying properties to the file, If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error to search for help with this problem.

Error 0x88982F8E: No error description available

and ask me to "try again" or "cancel".

i can't reproduce, i think that crop is not the problem but 'save as', could you try with only 'save as'?

After that I try other jpg files and found that this situation only occurs with jpg files scanned with Epson L355 printer.

I click the crop button, select the crop area, click the crop button again. Then press Ctrl + s, and press OK to confirm save. After that properties could not be saved. It was the same even I tried "save as".

Strange i can't reproduce...

Let me try to reproduce this at another computer.
