Hi,
after learning about editing the IPCT metadata I need to change EXIF data.

The reason for this is: although I change the IPCT author field, Windows Explorer doesn't show me the author.
With IrfanView I confirmed, that the content of the author field which Windows Explorer is showing, is the the EXIF author field.
(I'm not doing this for my own sake. And the other person will use Windows Explorer to check the data...)

I couln't find some general solution for EXIF like the -ipct_set option. Just some old comments in this forum from 2004, 2005, 2009 that only orientation and date is supported via EXIF.
Are there any news or other possibilites to change more/all EXIF data?

I don't use metadata but the following utility is often mentioned on the forum and may meet your needs:

But I'm still wondering whether there's a way with nconvert as well. I mean, that's the tool I use right now and I don't really want to change (which would mean to abondon nconvert at all - I don't like to have 3 tools for doing 4 jobs...).
