XnView can't open images which file names contain Simplified Chinese characters.

XnView 'Classic' doesn't support Unicode...
You can use XnViewMP, which is still in beta but developing well, if it has the functions you need...

Thank you for the suggestion. Unicode support is quite important for me. I'm trying XnViewMP.
