Linux: Unable to delete cached directory

I found that I can not delete any directory items in Settings-Browser-Catalog-CachedDirectory, even for deleted directories. All deleted directories reappear when I open settings again.

This bug seems to be Linux specific. On Windows I can delete cached directories successfully.

And the thumbnails of deleted files seem to be never removed.

For example, if you remove 2 images from a folder containing 10 images and then click rebuild thumbnails, the cache list would show there are still 10 files in the folder. Even if you then add 3 images into the folder, the cache list would show there are now 13 files in the folder, instead of 11 files actually.

I clicked the optimize button and selected only "remove empty directories", the nonexist cached directory items were not removed.
Then I selected "check for orphaned directories" and "check for orphaned files", all cached directories were gone... :( But the two files Thumb.db and XnView.db are still very large, not shrinked at all.

Now I find it a very strange bug.

I can't delete the cached directories because I store the images in /home/rm/ALL/Documents/Pictures and its subfolders. If I change the folder name from Pictures to Picture or Pictures1 or Pictured, or change the location to /home/rm/ALL/Pictures, no problem at all! Please investigate it.

Yes. I tried it from a clean catolog, with Thumb.db and Xnview.db removed.

It seems that sometimes cached thumbnails can be removed from "CachedDirectory" window but not actually from the database. On my friend's Windows PC, I see an empty CachedDirectory window, but the size of both Thumb.db and Xnview.db are 100MB+ .

Yes, optimize clean them all.
However I still have no idea why the folder /home/rm/ALL/Documents/Pictures is so strange on my computer...
