My English is very ugly. Sorry.

When you support unicode filename?
Especially CJK user feel inconvenience each other.

cf. Chinese/Japanese or Latin(Ø, å, etc) filename in Windows Korean environment. XnView can't view such files.

XnView is the best, but can't display unicode filename, folder and open picture with unicode filename. :(

Unicode: to see and open Chinese picture
or in chinese Windows or setting for non-Unicode program different from original system to open french Folder with ç (Mes Fichiers reçus)

It won't matter which language it is, when Unicode will be implemented all files will be viewed.
For me it's also critical, since I'm using Russian and Latvian, and on the Internet there are often files with accents etc, and sometimes I need to open files with Japanese...

I'm sure it can be called the most anticipated feature of XnView.
But I understand that it requires a lot to be changes, so, take your time.

unicode (UTF-8) is now the default characters on the web
it's very very good if XNview can display all files, and can be used for all in the world.
