I Noticed this also. It seems to be dependent on how the browser window is sized. If you size the browser window so that the bottom row of thumbnails are half visible then the problem is gone.

likewise, The problem appears when you size or stretch the browser window so that a full 3 or 4 rows of thumbs+labels are completely visible, then scroll to the bottom of the browser window and you can't scroll back up with the mouse wheel. It seems to have a sweet spot.

Hello,
Confirmed into Linux version too. (v0.75)
... If you mouse scroll, into a folder with a lot of thumbnails (browser mode), if you scroll down until the bottom/end of this folder ... then it is impossible to scroll up anymore.

I cannot reproduce it, windows 7, x64.
Maybe you also need to report:
  • how many images in the folder
  • what size thumbnails
  • is it thumbnails with no text at all, or one of the thumbnail options with some text?

Hello,
Right, an accurate how to reproduce way:
1- how many: just few many more than the/your screen (to can browse via scroll mouse button).
2- It doesn't matter (i guess?) here w150 x h100 - custom size, just after updating MP v0.72 to v0.75
3- Bugs only for 2 chooses: "View as Thumbnails + Labels"(my default setting) ... and "View as Thumbnails + FileName" (here with MP linux)

Edit1: After switching via some different thumbnails sizes settings, and go back to my custom size thumbnails setting (150x100), the bug has disappeared (strange) ... So I can't reproduce this bug anymore now ;-)

Edit2: ... after comparing xnview.ini files, the culprit one and the good/new one with Meld (or diff) ... I have only 2 diffs:
... So maybe you can investigate why this "strange (one shoot)" bug occurs ?

Edit3: Ah, with the culprit ini file, I didn't have any cross (item checked) for the choose into "View>Thumbnails Size" menu ... so maybe it was the problem?.
... for @bzq and @ericxx, so to avoid this "bug" a workaround ... you have probably to check/tick again a box into this setting too ?.

Edit 4: FI: the bug occurs again when I click to the top right left icon near the icon size cursor (to set number of thumbnails per row): "Click to change between width of thumbnail and number of thumbnails per row". But I have no bug with "width of thumbnail setting" .

Still no appearance for me.
I tried various thumbnail sizes and modes.
I tried different layouts - thumbnail pane running full height, or with info pane and preview along the bottom.

... Do you have also tried to switch with custom thumbnails size (here with: w150 x h100, this bug occurs with "per row") ?

Yes I tried a whole range of thumbnail sizes and thumbs per row.
It was an interesting experience, because I was learning things about xnview that I did not know.

The only bug I came across was that sometimes when flipping between thumb size and number, or changing size, it would change into thumbs + labels display, although the "view as" was still indicating that it was thumbs +filename.
In fact, every single time that I use the drop-down box or menu to select a thumbnail size that is not the same as currently active then it switches from thumbs +filename to displaying thumbs + labels. The same applies if I start with thumbnails only.

Thank you for your tests CameronD.
... After trying again (Linux MPv75&76 x64), in fact, I only have this bug with: custom thumbs size & thumbs+filename & thumbs per row
... then now I use instead (as workaround):
custom thumbs size & thumbs+labels & thumbs per row

...PS: I do not have this bug here (MP linux v0.75 x64 and v0.76 too)
Edit1: I sometime have this bug too now ;-)

Hello, Thanks for the info. I Will try your workaround and see what happens.

The workaround i was using is this.
1. Full-screen or Maximize Window
2. While in "view as thumbs+ labels"
3. Have enough rows so that you have unseen rows to scroll through. 10-20 rows ect.

Then take the browser window and resize the height so that the last row of thumbs are half visible. This works for me.

Seems like when the browser window is set in-between the rows. That's when the problem is happening.

Hello, yes maybe, but this bug seems to be difficult to reproduce in some others contexts.

Ok: Still in v0.78
So i figured I would post a way to reproduce this 100% of the time with screen shots.
The browser window can be placed anywhere and still get same results. You just have to have top and bottom algned like shown.
