Hi all,

if you open mutiple files already having IPTC data for IPTC editing, the first file displays blank fields on all tabs. At first I thought, the data really disappeared, but after playing with it, filling and re-filling, I discovered it's only a display problem (a very confusing one  ).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Edit IPTC data on some JPG files filling some fields on several tabs.
2. Select some of these files (at least 2), click Ctrl+I (or right click -> Edit IPTC/XMP).
3. Look at the data in the first file (and don't panic), all fields seem to be empty.
4. Don't change anything! Navigate to the second file, then back to the first, (and take a deep sigh,) the data is back, the fields are filled. :?

Hi Pierre,

now that you asked, I took a look again. Yes, Clear all fields was activated. I did uncheck it, and now the data is displayed on all files. I guess I never changed the check box "Clear all fields", never even bothered about it since I use Xnview (first Classic, now MP), which is quite for some years now :) What exactly is the meaning of the check box?

However I can confirm that the "missing" IPTC data was not deleted, only not displayed, and strangely only on the first file when navigating through the files in the IPTC editor.

And BTW, thank you very much for the great job you're doing with XnView! It's one of my favourite pieces of software, heavily used in spite of having here Lightroom and Paintshop pro.

Edit: Win 7 64 bit, XnViewMP 0.76 64 bit.
