Full Screen: image drawn over the current screen (no erase)

When I start XnView in browser mode and view an image in "Full Screen lite", the first image will be displayed without cleaning first the rest of the screen. And if I zoom out, it won't clean the image before.

Here is an example:

Image

You can see that the Browser window is still visible around the image, and that several zoom-out still show previous views.

The problem disappear if I switch application (alt tab, twice), click around, move to next/previous...
It happens systematically when starting XnView, but disappear after viewing FS one or more images. Then, the bug won't show up (until restarting XnView).

Strange, you have it always for the first file? You have win 2K?

I just noticed that I don't have this issue when Preview is enabled in the Browser.

Could someone reproduce the bug, please:
- Start XnView (Browser mode)
- Remove Preview panel (Menu>View>Preview) and Close XnView
- Re-start XnView
- Select an image in the Browser and View it in Full Screen (F11)
=> bug (see first image)

You should see the screen around the image instead of the background borders (choose an image with a different ratio&orientation than your screen). If you unzoom (key "-") you will see the reduced image over the previous one.

:) Hi All !

- This doesn't occur here under Win 98 SE, not any "ghost images" when switching to full screen…

- I followed the Olivier_G's steps exactly.
- However, here the browser starts "empty" always, I mean that not any directory is set in the Options to be opened…
EDIT : I tested too with a configured "Specified" start-up dir, all is normal…

 Kind regards,
Claude

What do you mean exactly? There are too many ways to maximize/fullscreen things in XnView...
