Convert 3.5" floppy disk to digital

If this is an inappropriate question for this site, I am sorry.
I do not have a floppy drive. I have some SWF disks that I want to convert to digital-I need the digital format before I can use a conversion software.
Can anyone tell me where I can get the 3.5 disks converted to digital format?

The simplest solution unless you have friend with an old computer, or can access a suitable computer in a public library, for example, would probably be to buy a USB external floppy disk drive: they do exist, I've just Googled, and are not that expensive especially on eBay...

Here in the UK:

Amazon

eBay

Google, and then reurn to XnView... :D

Welcome to the forum, Bea (-:

Do you mean SFW (Seattle Filmworks/Photoworks) files?
Are you on a Mac or a PC?

Yes, I mean Seattle Filmworks Disks. I guess Photoworks came later. I am using a PC.
Thanks

OK-wrong term. I need to get the photos off the disks and onto a computer or other media I can use.
Thanks.

An external floppy disk drive – as suggested by cday – will allow you to access the original SFW files for transfer/backup and conversion.

Thank you. I am going to try transferring them via an external floppy drive. I was able to order one from eBay.

Please report back once you've got your drive. We'll be happy to assist you in converting them to whatever format you prefer.
