There is no guide to the operation of XnConvert as far as I know, but the basic operation and most options should be evident from examination of the tabbed interface.

If you load an example PCD file on the Input tab, do you see the file thumbnail displayed as in the Windows version below:

If PCD files can be read by XnConvert on a MAC, you then need to configure the Output tab so that the converted files are saved as JPEGs with the desired compression options selected, set other relevant settings on that tab, and also check the Settings tab for any options that need to be configured, then click on Convert. If you are only batch converting files to another format, there is no need to make any selections on the Actions tab.
