Maybe because the way XnViewMP renders SVG sucks? Try to open this file
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Indus_IAU.svg with XnViewMP on default settings and with IE and compare outputs.

There's “room for improvement” in
Qt's SVG renderer and the CadSoftTools plug-in for XnView Classic which also has trouble displaying the semi-transparent/translucent objects.
Oddly enough, the result MP's
Web capture command (
Qt WebKit) produces of
file:///X:/Test/Indus_IAU.svg seems to be perfect.

In case of my Win 10 x64 + XnViewMP 0.78 x64 command "Web capture" produces perfectly white blank image out of given .svg. With webpages and .jpg it works fine.

From left to right:
- XnView Classic: CadSoftTools plug-in = 24bit
- XnView MP: cmd_open = 32bit
- XnView MP: cmd_webCapture = 24bit

QT use
SVG Tiny 1.2 format, symbol tags are not supported
