I have about 4000 pictures that my dad has been tagging. He's getting up there in age and some physical ailments make it hard for him to type or move the mouse, and so during tagging he made some mistakes. I've been searching the web, high and low, for a program that can find a keyword across multiple files and replace it with another word. For example, we used the word "unknown" for some of the people in the pictures. However, looking at the categories view in MP I can see that Unknown was spelled "Unkown" in some cases, and there are multiple instances of " Unknown" and "Unknown " (spaces before and after the word) as well as other words that were misspelled. Can Xnview find and replace keywords? Can anything find and replace keywords, besides adobe lightroom (unless I'm way off in my google search which was 'find replace keywords OR tags OR metadata photo OR photograph OR picture OR image', lightroom was the only program that seemed to have that capability)? When having a nice tool to tag your picture, the second step is in the possibility of correcting/ modifying embedded information with relevance and accuracy.
Now XnviewMP is quite efficient for tagging it would be nice to have possibility to correct mistakes that necessarily occur from time to time and/or needs to improve his tags.Sometimes there is the need to follow evolution of external rules (for instances some animals name's or family change with the progress of science).

In many case, the same correction is in several scatered files so a batch modification would be great
