Status bar stuck at 0% and XnView trashing my hard drive. This happens when I have folders thumbnails unchecked in custom filter. And navigate into folder with empty subfolders or folder with nonimage files inside. Seems it still trying to create thumbnails, but fail. Same issue present if thumbnails for text files disabled and I open folder with .txt, .css or .js files.

if you enter in a subfolder, XnView will lock?

No, if it empty or contain only images

Right, it stop locking immediately if I navigate into any empty folder.
Well, If you can't reproduce bug with my ini I guess we can't do any more thing for now. At least I have workaround with enabling folder thumbnailing and bug don't appear. Although their creation and updating is kind of slow for folders with large exr files
