As I tried to update the EXIF Date <date take> using the file changing date - 6 hours
the tool didn't work correctly.
I used it on 200 files and it worked correctly until file number 146 while 147 to 200 remained unchanged.
But the tool ended corrctly and xnview kept working.#
But when i used the tool that way on even a larger number of files (around 1000) it crashed.
- I tried this a number opf times. This even is true for the tool in XNView classic (which might be the same).

and if you try again, files 147 to 200 remained unchanged??

Sorry false alarm!
I did some tests this evening, and I can say the tool is working fine
but it is
very very slow with RAW files (canon in my case)
it takes more than 1 sec per file to change the date.
So I assumed the program stopped working but it obviously was not the case.
It even worked with 1000 files - I just had to wait for 20 minutes.

Therefore it would be nice to have a feedback of XNVIew:
How many of the selected files are already processsed and %

In the meantime I was using the tool quite on some files.
I did other things on my Computer while waiting for the response of the tool.
Now I found a real bug:
While the tool is actively working and the popup-window is visible,
the program crashes when I accidently click anywhere in the main window.
The file in progress while crashing can be identified because
it gets the current time for the FILE change date.

where do you click? do you have a crash log?
