Hello,

It's either a miss knowledge of myself or a feature request.

In the viewing pane, one can right click on a thumbnail and select "open with" than choose "configure program"

I wishes to associate with:
text like format (.md, .css, .js, etc) some text editor
.doc(x), odt some word like editor
xls(x), .csv some spreadsheet editor.

Unfortunately, if I can associate the different editors, XnViewMP applies it on ALL non-images formats, so that in my "open with" I have:
ALT+1: program1
ALT+2: program2
etc.
Furthermore, the associated program (F3) won't work for .doc(x), .md, etc

What I desire is that the default viewer on a double click on some file type is the default viewer I want for this file format, and on right click "open with" the list of possible viewers.
How can I achieve that?

In Settings>Integration>Path "Open the catalog Location" does not work

Full support for this suggestion from my side.
It would be absolutely great to have the option for either to choose
- doublelick ==> Open with builtin player/viewer
or to choose
- doubleclick ==> Open With, eg Open With (system defined program)
(for to attach a favorite player used for viewing of a video file)

so you would like to be able to choose for each extensions what to do? single click, double click, enter, middle click...

i see this problem. Nobody wants to explode settings.
But, as far as you keep a distinction resp. grouping between "image" files and "video/audo" files,
i could image a minimalistic approach:
- define a flag for the underlying Open method (eg. Open with internal viewer for images, Open with system defined viewer for video)
versus a more elaborated approach (but not really needed in my eyes):
- define by file extension list the each belonging open method (internal viewer or system attached viewer).

Mea culpa ... user error. This option already exists! (custom filter, Open with associated program).
Now the doubleclick on video thumbs works too (opens the video in the associated program).

Activated but with me (under Linux) double clicking on a mp4 file does not open its default media player.

P.S. In Tools>Settings>Browser>File list>Custom filter I have video ticked and chose for its open with "Associated program".

If this is correct I suspect XnViewMp has a "wrong" pointer to the default viewer and should enter the path to it, but this would be a new feature as I see 3 options: none, xnview or "Associated program".
