How to get transparent background

Hello! I tried to convert .hpi files that are supposed to have transparent backgrounds into .png files with transparent backgrounds, but the .png files ended up with white backgrounds. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to end up with transparent backgrounds? Thanks! (I used converter)

Welcome to the forum, Xanadu.
XnView opens HPI (Hemera Photo Objects) as multi-page images.
You have to extract both pages, …
- XnView: View mode » Tools » Multipage file » Extract All Into...
- XnConvert: Output » Multipage » Convert all pages from multipage file
- nConvert: -xall (Extract all images)
… and then combine the two using the 2nd page as alpha-channel mask:
- XnConvert: Actions » Add action >> » Image » Add mask » Use mask as alpha
