0.82: Constantly hangs when viewing videos (20.000+ videos)

It frequently hangs.
From what I have experienced so far, after playing a video file with external video player through assigned keyboard shortcuts (ALT+ Whatever). After closing the player, I have seen numerous hangs in the meantime.
Never seen that with 0.81.

i have not changed the video playing code. Could you try with 0.81?

Not exactly the same issue, but after upgrading to 0.82 I'm getting very frequent crashes when generating thumbnails. It seems to be related to the amount of memory required, ie: folders with smaller / less images crash less than folders with larger / more images.
Running windows 10 x64.

After deleting the xnview.ini file (and manually reconfiguring xnviewmp), the crashes seem to have ceased.

I dont't have freezes with 0.81. These are new.

It just happend again: Started video playback via ALT+1 which is my shortcut to a video player. Played the video. Closed the player -> Hang.

XnViewMP hangs when you close the external player??

i've tried with MPC & XnViewMP x64, no problem. on which format? which video player? Do you have sent a crash report?

There is no crash report as it only freezes. There is no crash.

After upgrading to 0.83 the freezing still happens.
Edit: There is no entry in the event viewer. And even Process Explorer does not show anything other than "Thread exit".
I just have left it for a while to see if there is any operation in progress but even after 30 minutes it still hangs.
As this means restarting the application and start all over it is useless this way.

Today I went back to 0.81 which works without those hangs.
There is definitiey a bug with your code in 0.82 that causes these freezes.
