XnView is a graphic manager and viewer and not so much a graphic editor. But it's good that the Paint tool found it's way into XnView MP to allow simple drawing.

The usability of the Drawing tool could be much improved by making some simple additions/changes.

1. Add Tool tips
Currently, the "tools" that can be selected for drawing (e.g. line, circle, rectangle, watermark, ...) have no tool tip. So you have to guess what the shapes are for.

2. Add name of selected tool
When selecting a specific "tool", you can only see by looking closely at the selection which tool you have chosen. There should be some additional visual hint. I'd suggest to use the title of the parameter area for this. Instead of the title "Parameter" the title should be "Circle", "Rectangle", ... depending on the chosen tool.

3. Change cursor depending on selected tool
Depending on the chosen tool, the cursor should change. This way the user gets even more visual feedback which action he/she has chosen and in which mode she/he is in.

A small icon near the foreground and background colour palettes that allows you to swap them would be nice too!

Black <-> White or White <-> Black

Yepp. Just like XnView Classic...

PS: Great to see an other XnView veteran around. :-)
