Batch convert - "Keep original date/time attr" can not work correctly.
Some files' modif datetime still are create datetime after batch convert.


OS: Win7 32bit
XnView same too

NO, I checked all the options. I have some compressed png images and just wanna decompress them into another folder.

which date do you have for original image0227.png? If you try again, same problem?

The first post showing file list sorted by modif datetime.
2013/4/28 for original images. Those images 2016/11/27 are not work, it seems nothing change for date.

I had try so many times, still have some files not work, they are random. It easily happening while batch convert a large number of files.

Do you have set your png compress level 0 before batch convert?
I also test some times as follows.

There 666 images were tested each time.
1.1 compressed png images -> decompressed png images(level 0) without opening the output folder window(sort by modif datetime) not work
1.2 compressed png images -> decompressed png images(level 0) with opening the output folder window(sort by modif datetime) almost work
1.3 compressed png images -> compressed png images work
2.1 Source Folder C:\Users\Adan\Desktop\A -> Output Folder C:\Users\Adan\Desktop\B not work
2.2 Source Folder C:\Users\Adan\Desktop\A -> Output Folder C:\Users\Adan\B not work
2.3 Source Folder C:\Users\Adan\Desktop\A -> Output Folder D:\B work
(D:\ -> C:\ should be as same as 2.3)


My laptop has one HDD(WD5000LPCX-00VHAT0) only. It seems not work when the hard disk is busy.

I can't reproduce

No, just open with Windows Explorer. Opening that seems higher priority for the output folder's IO operations, almost only one image file not work.

By the way, the others can not reproduce too?

For me, conversion works as expected. Original date/time attributes are always preserved.

I am so sorry, i think i found the reason.
Originally my laptop's CPU(Intel Core 2 Duo T9600) getting hot easily, so i set "Maximum processor state" 80% in Power Options after installed the Windows.
Then batch convert not work in this case. Now i recover the Maximum processor state to 100%, it works again finally.

Setting maximum power state shouldn't affect the behaviour of Windows or any other application. Anyway, problem seems to be fixed. Closed.
