Refine a previous IPTC search

Hi,
I am using XnView to search through a fairly large amount of pictures, using IPTC key-words. The pictures are in a big folder with about 40 sub-folders. The search works fine with one or several keywords, it takes about 2 or 3 minutes to return a result. So far, no complaint.
Here is my issue : let's assume I search on a single key-word, and it return something like 250 matches --> I will want to refine it by adding a second key-word. If I add a second key-word to my search, it goes through the entire folder again, so 2 or 2 minutes again.
Is there a way to do a "cascade", I mean to search only on the results of the first run ?
