I have windows 10x64 and xnviewmp 0.84 64bit. The following issue is really irritates me.
Middle button mouse wants double click from me to exit full screen mode, BTW is it reasonable to expect single click.

My Switching mode settings:
- Use double click to switch between: Browser-Viewer
- Use middle click to switch between: Browser-Fullscreen, Viewer-Fullscreen
- Use enter to switch between: Do nothing

Confirmed: Single middle click does not switch Fullscreen back to Viewer or Browser, respectively.

A single is more convenient than a double-click. Perhaps at a later stage there could be an additional setting "Use double middle-click to switch between:".

O.k., thank you, I can also reproduce the problem. Issue 1080 is fixed in next version.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.85 beta 1. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
