0.84 Wrong multi-selection after mouse wheel selection

Hello everybody,
this issue is really bothering me every time I fall for it.

Let's say there are 10 images in the image browser and image #3 is selected.
Move the mouse over the preview panel (which shows image #3) and use the mouse wheel (DOWN) to preview and select one of the following images (say #6).
The selection in the image browser will be adjusted accordingly. Only image #6 is selected. Fine.

Now you want to select multiple images (#6-#10) by holding down SHIFT and clicking on image #10 in the image browser.
But this results in selecting images #3-#10 (!) instead of the expected #6-#10.

This is very weird and can cause some if you're not carefully watching the actual file selection.

tested on Win7, XnViewMP 0.84

Thank you for your detailed bug description, Spaceman. After some trials I could reproduce your really weird problem.

The important bit in your description when reproducing:

O.k., thank you, I can also reproduce the problem. Issue 1079 is fixed in next version.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.87. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
