XnView: MP 0.84
OS: Windows 10 - 64bit

When moving a selected area sometimes a new selection is started instead of moving the selection.

Effect: Handling with selected areas gets cumbersome.

To reproduce:
1. Open an image in XnView (View mode)
2. Select an area using the mouse.
3. Move the selected area a bit by dragging it (Left mouse button + Mouse move).
4. When releasing the mouse make sure you don't move it anymore.
5. Try to drag the selected area a bit further (Left mouse button + Mouse move).
Actual behaviour (bug): A new selection is started :bug:
Expected behaviour: Selection is always moved.

Reproduced. After moving the selection the cursor is reverted to normal, and only reverts back to the 4-way moving arrow when it's moved every so slightly, as if it doesn't recognize that it's inside the selection area until it's moved. IOW, its determination of where it is seems to be based on movement. Either it needs to stay as a 4-way arrow when dropping the selection in its new location (seems the ideal solution), or it needs to constantly determine its location (inside a selection area or not) regardless of motion.

O.k., thank you, I can also reproduce the problem. Issue 1110 is fixed in next version.
