XnView: MP 0.84
OS: Windows 10 - 64bit

XnView does not prevent the user from opening a folder in Fullscreen.

Effect: Irritating user interface

To reproduce:
1. Start XnView browser.
2. Right click on the folder to open the context menu and select "Fullscreen".
Actual behaviour (bug): XnView MP switches to Fullscreen mode and displays and empty image. :bug:

Expected behaviour: When selecting non-image files, only, XnView shouldn't allow for opening in fullscreen.

Reproduced and agree. It could be argued that it can be safely assumed in this scenario that the user wants to view the contents of the folder in fullscreen, so it should load them, displaying the first compatible file in the folder. However, as it is, it loads the contents of the folder you're in (the parent folder of the one you selected), so it's essentially doing what you'd expect if nothing was selected. And it could also be argued that if the user is trying to go fullscreen, they want to view the images in the folder they're in, and if it loads the contents of the selected folder, they may not realize they have a folder selected, or know it will behave that way, which could also cause confusion.

So the question is, should it:

- do nothing unless a file is selected
- go fullscreen with the contents of the selected folder, displaying the first compatible file in that folder
- go fullscreen with the contents of the current folder, displaying the first compatible file in the folder
- ask what to do
- be a configurable option
- other?

In any event, it should NOT load a blank "image." FYI, the F11 shortcut and the toolbar button do the same thing.
