Please disable the library drop down pictures while in crop mode!
The drop down library images cover the crop menu options in the top required to finish the crop selection.
If you are in crop mode you definitely don't want to switch pictures.
Example in attachment demonstrates this issue.
You have to manoeuvre the mouse multiple times to try and avoid the library drop down. Very annoying in crop mode.

Thank you for your bug report, PeterH. I've tried to reproduce your problem but for me it behaves differently but also inconsistent:

My steps for the problem:
1. Open an image in fullscreen
2. Start cropping using the context menu (right mouse click, "Crop")
XnView displays the crop toolbar
3. Move the mouse slowly towards the crop toolbar.
Actual behaviour (bug): The flyout with the thumbnails appears. The flyout is position underneath the Crop toolbar, so cropping still can be done.

Expected behaviour: When cropping, the flyout with the thumbnails should never appear.

Note: When moving the mouse quickly towards the crop toolbar, the flyout is NOT displayed.

O.k., thank you, I can also reproduce the problem. Issue 1132 is fixed in next version.

Super to read the issue will be fixed.
Recently I found a workaround for the users with the same problem for the time being: Press the mouse "menu" button. A pop-up menu appears and disables the drop down pictures. Ignore the pop-up menu and select the required crop option.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.85 beta 1. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Confirmed fixed in 0.85 beta 1.

Note:
While cropping the flyout with info is still shown when moving mouse cursor to the right. To me this seems not disturb the cropping process.
