Hi,

Xnview 0.84 worked absolutely without problems just to yesterday when i tested 0.85 beta in a separate Folder. 0.85 worked, but the icons were bigger. It seems that 0.85 changed the xnview.ini. After the test 0.84 crashed every time, when a video file was in the folder. I reinstalled 0.84 and the problem remains. I had to delete the .ini-File, then it worked again ...

Make a backup of the .ini file if you want test 0.85 ...

i don't think that the problem comes from 0.85. Do you have Win10? It seems that lastest patch make a crash in video codec dll. XnView is not the only APP that crash on video thumbnail.

Microsoft has released a patch KB4015438 that fix the codec crash
