XnView: MP 0.85b2 - x64
OS: macOS Sierra 10.12.4 /64bit

Preferences and About from XnView menu isn't available when you're back to Thumbnails+Filenames view from fullscreen view. Effect: Nobody can check About window, nobody can open Preferences.

To reproduce:

1. Launch XnView 0.85b2;
2. Browse photos on Thumbnails+Filenames view on any drive;
3. Doubleclick photo to view it fullscreen;
4. View other photos in fc view;
5. Press ESC to return to Thumbnails+Filenames view;
6. Click on XnView in statusbar for opening menu;
7. About and Preferences are greyed.

Actual behaviour (bug): About and Preferences should be available. Once you view photos in fullscreen view and return to thumbnails, About and Preferences stays inactive. Only program restart helps.

Expected behaviour: About and Preferences should be always available

Thank you for reporting the problem, iMiKE. I'm not familiar with MacOS: Are the settings of XnView not available or special preferences of MacOS? If it's the XnView settings that would be a serious bug which could be considered as show stopper.

As you can see on Screenshot, About and Preferences are grayed. This is About XnView and Preferences of XnView.
You can't open XnView preferences once you back from fullscreen view.

@Pierre: This sounds serious. Could you please check?

I can confirm the issue.
(You can still access preferences from the toolbar or after moving to another tab.)

Or Lazarus, isn't it?

I confirm that the preferences and quit menu items are disabled in my machine too. Tested on Mac OS-X 10.10.5.

As with the other users, the preferences can still be accesses via the icon on the toolbar. The CMD+, (preferences) and CMD+Q (quit), shortcuts work fine too.

Seems like this big is fixed in beta5.

Just encountered this bug again in 0.86 for MacOSX.
Again, after many work - copyingmoving files, return from fullscreen view to Filelist+Thumbnails About XNView and references menu items is greyed - inaccessible.

really i don't have changed something on this side... All menu are greyed?

Nope, only About and Preferences.
I can't reproduce this bug again after several attempts.
