xnview hangs right after start for around 1 minute

Hello,

I have the problem, that on my Win10 Pro 64bit xnview always hangs right after start for around 1 minute. Opened in fullscreen picture view or list view. Which makes it unusable.

I have tried 0.86 and 0.84 in 64bit and also 0.86 in 32bit. Also removed the install dir and AppData dir.

What else could I do?

There have been other similar recently posts including the following:

0.85: File browser not responding for minutes

Strange behaviour after Windows 10 Creator Update

I haven't been following closely as I'm not using Windows 10, but I think there may have been more than one possible cause identified, so if you search the forum you may find other recent posts that are relevant.

Problem was before Creators Update too.

Its not relevant which directory it is opened in after start.

OneDrive is uninstalled.

Another possible cause of slow starts when there are many images on a computer is the creation of the thumbnail cache, although my understanding is that should only cause a noticeable delay on first use, I don't know if that could be relevant to your case??

If you wish to experiment, there are thumbnail settings in Tools > Settings... including an option to disable thumbnail caching in (Browser) > Catalog -- Catalog tab .

Ok, it seems like its that annoying OneCloud. Microsoft reinstalled it. After uninstalling it again it xnview works again. Very good :)
Thank you ;)
