Still event triggers are not working reliably.
I just had it again: Selected a video file in the main explorer. The name turned blue so I knew it was selected.
However in the assigned category pane nothing happened, although this file had a category assigned to it.
I had to deselect the file and selected it again and only after that the category pane updated itself correctly.

For some reason the category pane sometimes does not know what happens in the main pane. This is is a bug.

Not really. But it happens all the time. It just happened again.
I started a video via ALT+1 ( Open with).
I selected a different video file in main windows
Categoies stayed on the old file.
I can 100% tell that the new files has been selected in main window as the color turned blue.
But in categories it remained on the old file

This is very annoying as you never know if the correct file gets selected.

It is my impression that this happens with categories only. I cannot recall that this behavior showed with rating.

My suggestion is to implement a checking routine that makes sure that file selection in main window is the same like in category side panel.

I can't reproduce this problem, If you select a first video, and after another one, category pane is correct? (without using open with)

The problem is, that I cannot reproduce it reliably. It just happends again and again and I don't know why.
In main pane the correct file is selected, but it just doesn't make it to the category pane.
