I tried to delete an empty folder.
I marked the directory in the left treeview window and
tried the shortcut [SHIFT]+[DEL] to delete the folder.
XNView MP tries to delete the not existing files in the empty folder.

It is a bit funny.

Tested in 0.87 beta 2. Not fixed.

With Shift-Del a folder still cannot be deleted from the folder pane. Now nothing happens (no question if Items should be deleted).

I think there are some issues with selecting a folder and wanting to soft-delete (Del) or permanently delete (Shift-Del) the folder, both for folders with itmes and without.
I've seen more than one bug report recently...

I was just trying to help testing...

Testing with an empty folder in the treeview.
Selected the empty foler in the treeview, then pressing Shift + Del, like the topic poster.
Now there is no message anymore that XnViewMP tries to delete the not existing files in the empty folder, but still Shift + Del doesn't do the right thing.
Or isn't it normal expected behaviour that Shift + Del with focus on a directory would delete the directory?

The problem was the message box. Currently Shift+Del is only supported in thumbnails view

OK, didn't know that it was not supported. In that case it's fixed...
