XnView Software

Hi,
I have scanned a FormScanner template using my Epson scanner with 300 resolution and Text/Image setting. However, When I try to convert the pdf to jpg using XnConvert, it is saying 'Not a picture.

I tried with different configuration settings, but still not able to convert.

Can some one help where I am doing wrong?

You need to install Ghostscript if you haven't aleady done so, 32-bit for XnView Classic as it's 32-bit software, even if you are using Windows 64-bit...

You may also need to change the DPI used from the default value of 72 to obtain a good quality image.

Could you please Google or search the forum for that as I'm just going out!

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have changed the default 72 dpi to 300 , but still unable to convert.
I haven't installed Ghost script explicitly as I assume it is done by the MSI. If Ghost script is missing, won't it through error about missing the same?

I will install Ghost script and try.

No, you do need to install Ghostscript 32-bit...

No, but it would be useful it suitable text could be displayed...

Hi, Installing Ghostscript didn't solve the issue.
I have rebooted my laptop after installing the Ghostscript (32Bit)

Any help on how to find what the issue here?

You could try setting 'Ignore read errors' but I'm literally about to go out the door again, so I can't immediately give you a steer on that!

Otherwise it may be a problem with the PDF file itself, there have been cases of that where other software can nonetheless open the file concerned; if necessary could you upload the file?

If you are using XnView Classic [rather than XnView MP] the option to try is Tools > Options > Read/Write > General tab -- Ignore read errors.

Yes, I tried that option also, but no change.

You are using XnView Classic (v2.40 for example) and you have installed Ghostscript 32-bit, have you?

Could you please check whether you can open the attached Test.pdf file?

If Test.pdf opens normally, are you able to upload the PDF file that you can't open [2MiB maximum size]?
