XnView 2.40 plays some mp4 files rotated but not others

Windows 10 home with all available updates applied.
XnView 2.40.
I have a number of mp4 files.
For some reason, some of them play, rotated 90 degrees to the left when using XnView 2.40.
The thumbnails look correct in XnView.
If I play them with other apps, they play correctly (Not rotated 90 degrees.).
These mp4s came from an android phone.
When I play them on the phone, they play correctly as well.
Any ideas why ?
And more importantly, can I fix this issue using XnView some how ?
