Clearing Tags after an Operation

If I Tag some photos, then set their IPTC Keywords with CTRL-I->Tagged Files and then Write Selected Files, when I Close the Edit IPTC DATA Dialog, the Tags don't clear. They remain set.
I have:
Tools->Options->Browser->Thumbnails->Icon info
Tagged files must be cleared After an operation
Is this not considered an "operation" or is it a bug?
